Hockey in Canada as we know it today can be attributed to the tireless efforts of Murray Costello.  Over the past thirty years, he has held prominent positions such as President of the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association (now Hockey Canada) and the Vice-President of the International Ice Hockey Federation.  A constant visionary, patient listener, and equal opportunity advocate, Costello spearheaded numerous development and skills programs that continue to be used to this day.  His innovative and creative thinking led to the establishment of the Women’s World Championships and the Canada’s National Junior Team Program.  It is with his knowledge and leadership that has developed Canada into a powerhouse in the world of hockey today.

Murray Costello is still one of the most respected hockey builders in the sport internationally.  Whether it is at the grassroots level, men’s or women’s hockey, domestic or international, Murray is still highly regarded and a respected voice of reason in the world of hockey.
